Misericórdia Museum of Ba

Description

Located in the headquarters building of Santa Casa da Misericórdia, a 17th century palace, between the Praça da Sé and Praça Municipal. 
It was inaugurated on January 28, 2006, adding value to the cultural scene of the historical center of Salvador, one of the main tourist attractions of the city. The museum exhibits works ranging from the 17th century to the present day, and continues the social project of revitalization of the central region around the Santa Casa de Misericórdia of Bahia, institution that maintains the museum. 
The exhibition also includes a set of paintings, sculptures, car, furniture, tools and imagery. It also has ritual spaces such as the hall of the noble hall, with its 15-panel lining, oil on wood, 18th century entirely restored. Currently, the Misericórdia Museum is the most visited in Bahia.
