Flamengo Beach (Salvador)

Praia do Flamengo is a beach in the city of Salvador , Bahia , Brazil . Located in Stella Maris , it is close to the border of Salvador with the municipality of Lauro de Freitas .  Very crowded, has many coconut trees , yellow sand and reefs , which cause strong waves, good for surfing . But also the practices of walking , fishing , fishing of diving , frescobol and kitesurf are common . 

The City of Salvador plans interventions on the edge of the neighborhood of Stella Maris, including Praia do Flamengo, whose stretch has the concept of green areas revitalization. This includes hiking trails , cycle paths and woods . The project was launched in February 2015, with work expected to start in October 2015 and delivery in 2016, which did not materialize.
