Koh Seh

Description

Koh Seh or Koh Ses (Khmer: កោះសេះ, also romanized as Kaoh Ses, its former French name: Ile a L’eau) is a Cambodian island located in the Gulf of Thailand, inside Ream National Park, Sihanoukville province. It lies 1.5 km (1 mi) south of Koh Thmei and around 9 km (6 mi) south of the main-land of Sihanoukville's Ream commune. A 4.3 km (3 mi) wide sound separates it from Phu Quoc. "Koh Seh" means Horse Island. Less than 400 meters south-west of Koh Seh lies the tiny islet of Koh Ky.

Koh Seh is uninhabited while most of its shores are fringed with mangroves. The island constitutes the south-easternmost part of Ream National Park.

Tourism

This undeveloped island is soon to be developed along with a lot of islands in this area.

Diving and snorkeling, jungle treks, fishing, swimming, and exploring the island are the main activities here. Dive trips can be booked from SihanoukVille.

A few boat tours stop by Koh Seh Island for an hour or two as part of a 3 island trip.

You can also leave in the morning from Otres Beach and come back in the afternoon.

The trip from Otres is typically 55 minutes each way.

The 3 island trips cost $15 including lunch.
