Baan Nokkamin Foundation
Baan Nokkamin Foundation is a Christian based charity which is primarily dedicated to help street children, orphans, children of broken families and children at risk. To give them a new warm, loving and caring environment the foster parents who are trained by the Foundation take care of them as a family. Baan Nokkamin Foundation operates 11 Children's homes for 137 children which are located in 5 provinces, an elderly home, a drug rehabilitation center, day care centers and also provides 100 education scholarships for the orphans. Donations to Baan Nokkamin Foundation are entitled to be income tax deductible in Thailand under the category of Welfare and Rehabilitation of Children item number 96
1989 Mr. Erwin Grobil a Swiss missionary of O.M.F. met four street boys in Ramkamhaeng area. He had compassion with those boys and would like to help them their group of street friends have a better life. This was the initial stage of Baan Nokkamin Foundation. Baan Nokkamin Foundation was registered as a charitable NGO in that year with its main objective to assist street children, orphans, and children from broken homes live in a place where they can be part of a "family". Presently, through the connection of Mr. Erwin Grobil, Baan Nokkamin Foundation is partially supported by the Swiss organization " Verien Zur Unterstutzung Von Baan Nokkamin (VUBNK)" on yearly basis. Description of Activities: Baan Nokkamin Foundation specifically prioritizes on the "Family Institution" to improve the children's lives and to give them a bright path for their future life. As a result, eleven Baan Nokkamin Children's homes have been established nation-wide under the foundation to provide "the family environment" to replace what is missing in the lives of the children who are under the care of the foundation. There are 137 children and youths under the care of Baan Nokkamin Foundation's Children Homes living in 11 Children's homes which are located in 5 provinces. The children are under the care of foster parents provided by the foundation. Most of those foster parents are husbands and wife living with their own kids and working for the foundation to take care of orphans within a warm family atmosphere. The Children's Homes under the management of Baan Nokkamin Foundation are: Bangkok Page 2 of 9 Bangkok Baan Nokkamin Children's Home for Boy, Bangkok 1 There are 13 boys between 3 to 14 years under the care of married foster parents who have their own daughter aged 23 years who is now studying at university level under the educational support of the charity. Baan Nokkamin Foundation provides all necessary items for daily living and education for the boys. There are also two migrant boys 3 and 5 years old and are obtaining pre-school education at the Day-Care Center of the foundation. Baan Nokkamin Children's Home for Boy, Bangkok 2 9 boys between 7-16 years old under the care of married foster parents with their own two sons. The boys at he home receive educational support from the foundation, and all are studying in elementary level in the school nearby. Baan Nokkamin Children's Home for Girl. There are 12 girls between 7 to 22 years old under the care of a couple married foster parents with their one own daughter and one niece. Those 12 girls are studying in elementary , vocational and university level. Baan Nokkamin Teenager's Home The Teenager's Home was founded in 2016 to be a place to assist the broken home teenagers and migrant teenagers who are at risk. The Home is a drop-in center in order which can help them to find a better path of life. Presently, there are 5 teenagers aged between 18 to 23 years under the care of the home
