Samui Monkey Center

When thinking of Samui, the first thing that comes to your mind must be “a monkey collecting coconuts”. However, it might not be as easy as you might think to train a monkey to do so. For this reason, the Monkey Center is established and has turned into a new tourist attraction which becomes popular among local people and foreigners.

In the center, the monkeys will be trained to collect the coconuts. Each training session takes about 4 months and requires a trainer and a student. If you have a monkey, you can take it to participate a training course which costs 6,000 Baht for 1 monkey. Moreover, you can enjoy other monkey shows in the center. For example, monkey jumping through the loops, memorizing numbers, playing guitars or untying knots.Also, you do not have to worry about the hygiene of the monkeys because all monkeys here are vaccinated and bathed every time before the show.The show opens 3 times a day: 10.30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and cost 150 and 300 baht for children and adult respectively.
